I'm Here!!

I'm sorry that it has been forever and a century since I've blogged. Everything has been crazy! We get home from a fun filled week in Cali and off to Oklahoma that same week. I'll blog/show ya'll some pictures when I've got an extra minute or two. I just wanted to tell you that yes, I'm still alive. :]

I'm Proud

I'm pretty proud of myself. I made this ALL by my little self! It's my 1st one ever and I've spent 2+ months on the thing.
Aj's cousin Andrea had a little baby boy a little over 2 months ago and I decided to make a special quilt for baby Michael.
With all the time I've spent on this quilt...I don't really want to give it away! I'm sure I'll make plenty more of them, now that I kind of know what I'm doing, but I just don't want to give it away...I mailed it out yesterday...It was sad. :]

Time For A Change

Well it looks like the Hilbert family and little ole me will be departing beautiful Teton Valley and headed back to the Hilbert's stomping ground in McAlester, Oklahoma.
OOoookkkkklllllaaaahhhhoooommmma,where the wind comes sweepin' down the plain! {everyone sing with me now!}

It's going to be a big change, but a very good change. I'm sad to leave friends and my family, but it's hard to start things here in the Valley for some people. I don't have anything going for me here..We don't own the home we are in right now and it gets a little pricey some months. I love this Valley a lot, but I really can't afford to be living here. I know I'll be excited to come back and visit though.

McAlester is about 20-21,000 people. We'll be about 5 miles out of town. Here shortly Aj's Dad, Darren will be driving back there to supervise all the dirt work that needs to be done before they can start on the house part. So it won't be a while until we go. The piece of land is around 16 acres and it's split down the middle by a hill, so on 1 side Aj's Mom and Dad will have a small home and on the other side Aj and I will have a small home that we own..it'll be so nice to own a home and not having to worry about making sure the rent check has been sent. Lots of trees and I believe there is a smallish pond on our half too. I want to get a horse, some ducks,some baby moo-moos and maybe a puppy too.
The ONLY thing I'm dreading is the darn HEAT. It gets soooooo very toasty there. I'm talking 97 degrees with 100% humidity!

I do believe this is our half?? I love all that land. The biggest pain will be trying to get grass to grow for our lawn. Oh well.
